Who is Atlantes?
Atlantes is a relatively new business set up in Dorset in early 2009 by Jan Brett and Howard Johnson.
Jan is an established and well respected home search and real estate specialist in the Dorset area. Howard is a chartered surveyor with 25 years’ experience in the acquisition management and disposal of property in Dorset and the South West.
Taking the strain out of buying or selling a house
The idea was to set up a property company that takes the strain out of selling and buying a house. Things like preparing your existing property for sale - arranging for it to be cleaned and for gardening or repairs to be done, and so forth.
Atlantes is also about helping you to find the right estate agent, auctioneer or letting agent. As property professionals we have many excellent property and real estate contacts in the Dorset, Wilstshire, Hampshire, East Devon and South Somerset area.
And once the house sale or let is underway, we're happy to liaise with your estate agent, solicitor or letting agent... the whole caboodle. Or you can just use a few of our services; we're completely flexible.
Who uses Atlantes?
Looking after or disposing of a property and its contents can be worrying and time-consuming especially if you live some distance away from your property in Dorset.
Maybe you’ve inherited the home or estate of a loved one and need to sort out furniture and other effects before putting the house up for sale or rental – followed by someone trustworthy to supervise the property sale as it goes through.
Perhaps a career change has resulted in a move to another part of the country, even abroad, and a changing property market has left you with a house that needs taking care of until a buyer is found.
Maybe you need someone to help ship the house contents abroad. Or maybe you still live in the property but you need to move; possibly somewhere smaller like a retirement home or sheltered housing and would appreciate a friendly hand sorting out your belongings.
We've been known to help clear out freezers, help sell the car, find a home for the pets and even remove rats from the attic as part of the process! There's nothing we can't do - so just ask!
